MILFORD - Be sure to include a visit to the Milford Public Library in your Halloween plans.
It's the library's fifth annual Lights Out at the Library event. This year the theme is "Haunted Art Museum - Where Art Comes to Life."
Enter the library at the Main Street doors beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday. The Lights Out program ends at 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
This is a program for families. Family members from grandma and grandpa down to the youngest child will enjoy the antics of the library staff and volunteers at Lights Out.
Tour guides (museum night watchmen) will take you through the library to visit each work of art as it comes to life right before your eyes. Featured works of art will include Degas Ballerinas, Whistler's Mother and George Washington Crossing the Delaware.Every child completing the tour gets a bag full of goodies before leaving the library. The tour takes about 10 minutes from start to finish. Get a photo with one of the living statues.
This is one of the library's most popular events every year.
