Living In Full Effect, Manchester High School's peer counseling group, put on a drunk-driving crash simulation Wednesday at the school. In the past, LIFE put on this mock crash each year for juniors and seniors prior to prom to remind them to drive safely and not to drink and drive. MHS guidance counselor and LIFE sponsor Dave Owens said this is the first time in three years the event has taken place and the first year the entire school was invited to the event. It was opened to the entire school this year to remind all drivers, and especially newer ones, to be careful on the road. Cars for the crash came from Car Recyclers, North Manchester. Owens and the LIFE group organized the event with help from the North Manchester Police Department, EMT, Fire Department and public safety director Jack Fetrow. Photo by Laura Sloop, Times-Union
