February is National Library Lover's Month at Warsaw Community Public Library. From finding a job to launching a business, from researching a paper to learning about the world, libraries help people get started.
Whether people depend on the library for best selling books, children's story times or access to computers and the Internet, people are encouraged to show how much they love their local public library this month.
Below are some ideas on how area residents can love the Warsaw Community Public Library:
Contribute at the library
- Consider a tax-deductible gift in the form of endowments through Kosciusko County Community Foundation (KCCF).
- Buy the library a subscription to a popular magazine.
- Donate a new book - or a whole shelf of new books.
- Remember the library in your estate planning.
Volunteer at the library
- Be a reader to children.
- Help at book sales.
- Present an adult program.
- Mend, clean, and recase audiovisual items.
Promote the library
- Attend local government meetings and urge city and county legislators to invest in the library as a vital community resource.
- Write a letter to the editor of the newspapers or call in to a radio show to express your support.
- Share about your library experiences to family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and groups you belong to and encourage them to also visit the library.
- Invite us to your group to talk about our library services and programs.
Warsaw is truly blessed to have a community library. The community is invited to join us this month and celebrate its love of Warsaw Community Public Library and take advantage of the services and programs we offer during this special month.
