The Warsaw Community Public Library is a state-of-the-art facility for the community.
But is it accessible to all of the city's resident's, particularly those confined to wheelchairs?
Yes, according to library Director Ann Zydek. The library has a wheelchair ramp on the east entrance to the building and a wheelchair lift at the north entrance.
However, some patrons have complained that the wheelchair lift doesn't allow for more than one passenger and is difficult to use.
"The lift meets ADA requirements, and there is another way into the building for wheelchairs. They can use the ramp on the east entrance near Detroit Street," she said.
Additionally, once the parking lot is completed, there will be ample handicapped parking space on the east side of the building to make access to the library more convenient.
