Warsaw Community Public Library's future parking lot is slowly becoming a reality.
With the demolition of an insurance building north of the library's new wing, the need for parking has been reduced slightly. The lot was leveled earlier this week and accommodates nearly two dozen vehicles.
The library board approved plans on Monday to expand the lot to accommodate 86 cars after a nearby church is razed.
The church informed the library that they will not vacate the current building until the end of June, said library director Ann Zydek.
The board was also informed that construction should be completed no later than May 1. Most officials expect the work to be done by mid April because of other obligations the contractor has.
