Warsaw Community Public Library patrons now will be able to check out more videotapes and DVDs at a time.

WCPL Board of Trustees Monday approved a policy that allows adult and youth library card holders to check out six videotapes and six DVDs. The loan period remains at a week.

Patrons previously were allowed to check out three items from each category, according to Library Director Ann Zydek.

The policy also states youth cardholders 13 and younger are allowed to check out videos and DVDs only from the youth collection.

Young adults ages 13-17 can check out anything but restricted titles in the adult collection.

The board also approved a $1,315 grant from the Kosciusko County Community Foundation Inc. for the library's designated endowment fund.

The funds will be used for the library's equipment purchases and new services, Zydek said.

Joni Brookins, assistant library director, said the library's technology committee met and will have a technology update for the board to review at its August meeting.
