Library Awarded Grant

The Kosciusko Genealogy Library was awarded a $1,000 grant by the Indiana Genealogy Society at the annual conference Saturday at the Allen County Genealogy Center in Fort Wayne. Sharon Sucec, librarian, accepted the check from the IGS President Michael Maben. The grant will purchase the Bicentennial Legacy Project, “Schools of Kosciusko County, 1835-1975,” for the following sites: Public libraries in Warsaw, Mentone, Pierceton, North Webster, Milford and Syracuse; and museums in the county and school corporations serving the county students. The “Schools of Kosciusko County” will arrive in late August. It is currently on presale at the Kosciusko County Historical Society for $37.50 plus tax. One also can support the publishing of this bicentennial project by becoming a donor and your name can still be included on the donor page for $25 and with $150 you will receive a free book. You can also show support by donating in the name of another (in memory or in honor)   limited number of addition copies will be sold in September and at the bicentennial celebration in Warsaw.
