Liberty Mills Man Acquitted In Molesting Case

Posted

A Liberty Mills man was acquitted of child molesting charges Tuesday in Kosciusko Superior Court I after jurors deliberated about three hours.

Robert Wirsing, 34, was charged with child molesting in 1997 after he was accused of fondling a 5-year-old girl and her sister while babysitting for them in October 1996. The child, now 7, testified during the two-day trial, telling jurors Wirsing touched her and her sister, who was 3 years old at the time.

Wirsing maintained his innocence when he testified on his own behalf.

Warsaw's Mike Miner was Wirsing's attorney in the case.
