NORTH MANCHESTER - Lewis I. Jacobs, 95, Silver Lake, died at 5:45 a.m. Jan. 12, 2011, in Heritage of Huntington Healthcare.
He was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Wabash County, to Sampson and Alma Bennett Jacobs. On Feb. 2, 1940, he married Martha M. Oldfather, who died Dec. 12, 2008.
He was a farmer. He was a resident of Huntington County for many years before moving to Wabash County in 1967.
Surviving are two sons, Michael (and spouse Kathleen) Jacobs, Huntington, and Sam Jacobs, Laketon; a daughter, Linda (and spouse Walter) Fulton, Andrews; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Nikki Marker officiating. Burial will be in South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
