Lewis “Dobie” Slone Jr., 75, Warsaw, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Nov. 6, 2015, at Vibra Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Sept. 29, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Lewis Sr. and Allie Slone. He is a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He retired from RR Donnelley, Warsaw. He loved eating his tomatoes, egg Custer pie and chicken and dumplings. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, joking and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are two brothers, Bill (and spouse Lois) Slone and Lon (and spouse Edith) Slone, all of Claypool; a sister, Janice (and spouse Carlos) Hall, Warsaw; a special nephew, David Hall; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters and a son, Donald Ray Slone. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
