Editor, Times-Union: I am sickened at the thought that any survivors of the tragedy in the Gulf Coast region or any of their families and friends will read the letters from Dale Beery, Robert Stichter, or C.L. Hendrix in the Sept. 8 edition of the Times-Union.
The lack of compassion and the disgustingly judgmental and unChristian-like sentiments might make them think that all of us in this area feel the way they do. I pray to God that the acts of humanity that have been shown in the last couple of weeks by Kosciusko County businesses, churches, and individuals in reaching out to help those whose lives have been devastated will greatly overshadow and outlast the thoughts and ideas expressed in those letters.

Good Response
Editor, Times-Union: Matt, very good job, on your reply to the letter in the paper. If what they (J. Robert and Jodie Boggs) said was true, then most of us would be dead and those two would be the only ones walking about.
