Editor, Times-Union: I would like to thank Sharon Ellis (our Madison Elementary school librarian) for her magnificent collaboration of events in the freedom celebration for our school on the anniversary of 9-11. The event was not only a remembrance of the victims of 9-11 but a celebration of our freedom and the fact that we are alive to celebrate it. What a positive educational experience for our children - an experience they will remember.
Thanks, Sharon, for helping to make this day a memory for Madison.
I would also like to thank the Warsaw Fire Department, Mayor Ernie Wiggins, Superintendant Dr. Dave McGuire, the Warsaw High School band, American Legion and all of the parents and people of the community who took time to be a part of it. Thanks also goes to Jeff Neumann (Madison principal) for allowing this event to happen.
