Remove Moore

Editor, Times-Union:
Two topics -
First, Gary Gerard's article re: Michael Moore. Well written, well received!

There are two ways to remove Moore from society, 1: ignore him; if no one reads his books, if no one attends his movies, if everyone ignores his vitriolic diatribes - he will wither up and blow away! An ego maniac's worst nightmare is to be ignored! 2: Someone shoots him in the butt - since that's the location of his brain - the shot might be fatal!

Second: I've enjoyed Harold Kitson's responses to Matt what's-his-name from New Orleans! That jerk, Matt what's-his-name, is a clueless liberal who knows nothing and writes letters to an out-of-state newspaper to prove it! He can't get his pinko garbage published in a New Orleans newspaper!

I hope Matt and his ilk: Moore, Tim Robbins, Whoopee Goldfish, Boo Boo Striesand, Jeanane Garfoddi, Susan Sarandan (all spelling intentional) and all the other Hollyweird bunch that promised to leave the USA if G.W. Bush was elected in 2000, and have their passports in order and clothes packed - because G.W. Bush will be re-elected in November 2004! Bet on it!

Slap In The Face
Editor, Times-Union:
This letter is in response to Tyler Baugher's letter, which was published on Monday, July 12. I have to give kudos to Tyler for being so upfront with Dr. McGuire and Mr. Allebach. I think the letter from Tyler should be a slap in the face to Dr. McGuire. When a 9-year-old and a 7-year-old are willing to give their allowance to save the school they have attended, that should be a sign that something needs to change. I think that the kids deserve a letter from Dr. McGuire explaining what is happening and why it is happening. Even if closing the schools is the best thing for the school system, the kids have the right to know what is going on.

Fahrenheit 9/11

Editor, Times-Union:
I, for one, won't be viewing Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11." I won't waste the price of admission on what I consider to be a traitorous attack against George Bush and the United States. I understand that, in the film, Moore refers to President Bush as being "dumb as a stump, a liar and an unprincipled schemer." Moore also told a British newspaper that "Americans are possibly the dumbest people on the planet." (Why, Mr. Moore, how can you, a true(?) American, blast yourself in such an evil insulting manner?) I'm sure that with his nasty film documentary, Mr. Moore is getting all of the attention and publicity that he had set out to gain, not to mention the pile of "green stuff" that is coming in at the box office. And what will he do with all of that loot? Will his ill-gotten riches make him happy in the long run? I doubt it.

The Cannes Film Festival honored "Fahrenheit 9/11" with an award for best picture of the year. Well, I'm not surprised. Cannes is affiliated with citizens of France who hate our guts. So, naturally, they are with Michael Moore as regards his fiendish, loathsome attitude toward our president and our country.

Speaking of France - The French people obviously have a weak memory. They seem to have forgotten an unforgettable August day back in 1944 when American troops marched into Paris and liberated France from the horrendous, tyrannical Nazis. At the time, the people of France were ready to crawl before us and kiss our feet for our valorous deed, but, as I say, in this day and age, the ungrateful souls of France seem to have a weak memory - a very weak memory.

In closing, I just want to state that, if Mr. Moore hates President Bush, and the United States so much, why doesn't the poor malcontent do as the song says, "take a slow boat to China," or somewhere, never to return?
