Condemned

Editor, Times-Union:
I'm writing this letter in reply to the personal attack launched againt me by Jonathan Mauk in which he - not God - has condemned me to hell for speaking my mind in an open forum. And to dispute you, Mr. Mauk - I do have moral standards those which include allowing others their opinion without condemning them to hell.

In fact my letter was written with an open spirit, asking others as yourself that are so judgemental to give gays the same opportunities to marriage as straights do.

So, I will ask you to pray for my soul. It shouldn't take longer than it took you to write your letter. Wouldn't that be the true Christian spirit?

I'm take a gamble that one as righteous as you would pray for my soul. That would be the morally correct thing to do.

Loved 'Seussical'

Editor, Times-Union:
Sending Kudos to the Wagon Wheel Theatre for their production of "Seussical the Musical"! I took my five grandchildren (ranging in ages from 3 years to 10 years old). They were all absolutely mesmerized by the show. My 6-year-old granddaughter was singing the songs right along with the cast! And my 3-year-old grandson would say, "Here come the Wickershams" every time the monkeys hit the stage. The set was creative and colorful and the actors so believable as the animals in the Dr. Seuss story. Horton had the most beautiful voice and his Gertrude stole the show with her growing tail antics. Cat in the Hat was everywhere and so full of energy. And who would believe three monkeys swinging from 10-foot trees all evening! Amazing! The show will be playing all this week, so if you have been wondering if your kids would enjoy seeing "Seussical", take my advice and go see the show! You and the kids will love it!

Bible Laws

Re: "Bible Laws" letter submitted by Ms. Lisa Rector.

We that do our humanly best to live like Christians and have accepted Jesus "The Christ" as our Lord and Savior do not live in the time of the Old Testament. All that you (in your own sickly manor) quoted from the Holy Bible has been washed away by the words and the blood of the only true sacrifice, Jesus! All that remains with us from the Old Testament is God's Laws, his Ten Commandments which actually covers everthing, and which Christ instructed us to keep. Your letter's evil intent did not fall on me as you had intended, it fell on our Lord Jesus and he will answer you in his own way. I will say only this to you personally. Lisa, Jesus is with us at all times in spirit, but what if Jesus were here among us in the flesh as he once was, do you think that he would bless or condemn the marriage between two men or between two women? I will pray that Christ will enter your soul and guide it out of the darkness where it now dwells. You personally need to ask God for forgiveness through Jesus Christ, and for guidance into the light of righteousness. Only through Christ shall there be life eternal in our Father's Kingdom. I will not be verbally trapped by evil-minded people, for Christ is my Lord and he filters out all the evil, so that I may read between the lines and still love you enough to offer this token of my love. Repent and accept Christ as your Lord and Savior and take the gift of life eternal that is waiting on all that will walk with Jesus. Thank you for reading.
