Editor, Times-Union: Combined Community Services would like to express our gratitude to the community and the Warsaw postal workers for all the food and time they put into their program "Stamp out Hunger."
CCS would like to give special thanks to those who spent a lot of time organizing and making sure this day was successful and for lending us their truck for the day so the postal workers could load the food and then haul it to our pantry. All the postal workers did a great job putting in extra hours on a Saturday. All of their hard work behind the scenes did not go unnoticed.
It is a great honor to live in a community that gives so unselfishly and with so much love. The Warsaw area gave a total of 4,500 pounds worth of food to CCS' pantry at a time when our supplies were running extremely low. The food that you all donated will keep food on the table for families in our community for several months to come.
Thanks to everyone for making this a very successful day for our community and for CCS.

Thanks To MOPS
Editor, Times-Union: "Blessed to be a Blessing." This Genesis 12:1-3 verse concept tells us that in order to be blessed, we must first bless others. The Moppettes volunteers at First Presby Church certainly blessed my two sons and me this past year. For two Friday mornings a month they gave unselfishly of their time and attention to care for the MOPS' (Mothers of Preschoolers) children. What a blessing it was for me to leave my children with loving women each morning so I could socialize with fellow mommies and be challenged, encouraged and enlightened by our discussions. My heartfelt thanks to each of you, especially to the three-year and nursery helpers. You certainly touched and blessed many.
To our Titus women, you are true blessings. By sharing and witnessing to us, you planted many seeds of hope, inspiration and smiles. The tears of happiness and sadness, the laughs and hugs shall remain in my heart. Thank you for being vulnerable and giving so graciously of yourselves.
There are many others who contributed to our MOPS year. Due to the "Letters to the Editor" policy, I cannot list your names, but you are great, anonymous to several, but loved by those of us who know. The blessings you sprinkled, and even showered, upon us will return to you in beautiful ways.

Thanks To NIILS
Editor, Times-Union: There is an organization active in this county of which very little is known. It is Northern Indiana Independent Living Service (NIILS). This service is a great help to anyone with impaired vision. A representative will come to your home and do many things to help you with your daily work, such as marking your oven control and thermostat so you can see the temperature you need. The many helpful things will enable you to stay in your home and take care of yourself. All of the undersigned have received help from this service and consider it a blessing that we are able to do our own work and even be able to read a little with help from special magnifying glasses.
I'm writing to you in the hope that it will be printed and will be read by those that might need this help. This service is for seniors 55 or older.
