Vandalism

Editor, Times-Union:
I live in a mobile home park. We have several young people who are left to run wild and destroy anything they please. We had our newly painted truck keyed over the weekend and will have to get the hood repainted. We did report it to the sheriff's office and to our park office. The sheriff's office was kind and helpful but our park office was not. I asked them if they could kindly send out a letter to the parents telling them that they are going to be held responsible for their children's actions. I was told that it is not their job to keep tabs on the kids even though our office has been vandalized in the past. They also refused to give me the upper management's name and address. I have one word for the person who did this - shame on you! I am tired of this and am installing a camera to catch whoever done this and will press charges. And for the park office I would like to ask if keeping the park safe is not your problem, then what does our lot rent money go for?

My Mom Is A Hero

Editor, Times-Union:
My mom told me that heroes are people who follow their principles even when it hurts and who fight for the people the world forgets. That is what my Mom does. Everybody doesn't know that about her but I live with her so I do. She is a hero. My mom loves my sister and me and she makes sure that we know we are special and can do anything we want and she makes sure that we know we are who God made us and so we are fine. My mom cares about people who are hurting and she cares about people who are hungry. My mom doesn't believe in making fun of people or talking about them. My mom sings funny songs to me and she hugs me. I have fun with my mom and I learn A LOT about being a good person from her. She protected me and she believes in me and she is very very pretty for her age. I hope I can be like her when I am a mom.
