Editor, Times-Union: Brownie Girl Scout Troop #17 of Atwood would like to thank all of the individuals and businesses who supported us during the recent cookie sales. You helped our troop earn more than $700! These funds enable the girls to participate in a wide variety of activities throughout the year that they may not otherwise have the chance to do.
Also, every Girl Scout is given the opportunity to attend summer Girl Scout camp. Individual girls were able to earn credit towards payment of camp based on the number of boxes they sold. Some of our young Brownies earned up to $70 credit towards camp.
