Editor, Times-Union: Once again our state Legislators chose to thumb their noses at the citizens of Indiana for the sake of politics. This is election year; I urge all voters of Indiana to thumb our noses at them come May 7th and Nov. 7th. There is a large green pasture waiting for them.

Fence Concessions
Editor, Times-Union: We would like to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Randy Polston, the principal of Harrison Elementary School, and Dr. Harman, superintendent, for hearing our concerns about the fence going up right against our property. They both took the time to come out and walk the fence line to see for themselves just how close it was to our yard. Then the decision was made to back the fence up about 16 feet to give us and our neighbors a little more "breathing room." They also have made sure that there will be a gate so our children can continue to walk to school. We appreciate their willingness to work with us and their flexibility to change their plans so that we could avoid that "caged in" feeling. ... And now you know the rest of the story.
