Small Town Life

Editor, Times-Union:
Once again I am thankful for living in a small community like North Webster. As I was driving home from work, on Wednesday evening on Armstrong Road, I saw a car up ahead trying to turn and there were cars coming. I started to slow down but, started to slide. Instead of hitting her, I slid into the ditch. As soon as it happened, Jeff Carey stopped to help me. And as the night progressed trying to get my car out ... many more "neighbors" stopped to make sure I was OK. I also wanted to thank the two other guys who helped pull me out of the snow-covered ditch, we did not get your names but, I want to thank you just the same. Things like this renew my hope in the goodness of people. I am thankful I live in a small community, that is still willing to stop and make sure that I was OK. Thank you for all who helped once again. I hope that if you ever need anything, I can be there for you as well. Thank you again.

Thanks To Contractor

Editor, Times-Union:
We would like to thank Wildman Construction for being there when we needed them. When we had the ice storm on 1/31 our neighbors' tree fell on the back part of our home, causing damage. Not knowing what to do, we called the Winona Lake Police Department, and they were very fast on responding even with the other homes in the area being damaged by the storm.

When we had called our insurance company, they said to go ahead and find a contractor. When we chose Wildman Construction, it was a godsend. Kent Wildman and his associates have been so wonderful. Our boys would call them our friends because of the kindness and friendliness of these men.

Now with the finishing touches coming to an end, we will miss these men who have been there since day one and now call our "friends." They deserve a BIG thanks along with everyone else who had helped us out through this time of need.

Thank you very much for a job well done!
