Editor, Times-Union: I would like to submit this letter of thanks to Detective Sergeant Gerald Oswalt and the entire local F.O.P. on behalf of the Camp C.O. Mollenhour volunteer educator team. Recently Detective Oswalt and the F.O.P. have made a generous donation of various hunting type firearms for our use in the DNR-based Hunter's Education portion of the conservation camp. This camp gives kids the chance to learn a great deal about nature as well as themselves. Donations like this help us, the volunteer conservation educators of the area, to give the local youth the best and safest possible outdoors experience. Firearms safety is one of many educational experiences these kids may otherwise never get. Through Camp C.O. Mollenhour our local youth receive educational experiences relating to conservation, law enforcement and nature in general showing them many constructive and enjoyable activities which exist right here in our area. Thanks again !

Impeachment
Editor, Times-Union: Sir - your opinion page in the Wednesday, December 30, 1998 edition and specifically the impeachment letter - I do not know the writer but I do congratulate him. A well thought out and constructed letter - certainly enlightening.
The letter prompted me to ask you to share some of my thoughts on your letters page.
I called both Reps. Roemer and Buyer prior to the House impeachment proceedings. Opinions were running 50-50 for and against impeachment. Roemer voted "No" Buyer "Yes." My input in this vote (trial) should have no bearing - the facts should be the engine.
Many people have voted for impeachment in the face of opinion polls. Many want censure - I say why? And feel that in view of following all could go well for Pres. Clinton, his supporters, and the American people.
1. Clinton denies offenses.
2. Defenders say perjury and obstruction ... are not high enough - I won't use the overused "rise to level ..."
3. 70% to 80% (we are bombarded with this) of us say drop it - don't do any more harm.
4. So, to make all happy a) hold quick senate trial b) vote against any punishment c) for members of Congress, shake hands and go to your corner!
P.S. Since Mr. PFD's letter is fair game, I'm sending copy to Senator Lugar. Happy New Year.
