MENTONE – Leigh A. Utter, 58, of
Winona Lake, Ind., and formerly of
Mentone, passed away at 1:09 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at Lutheran
Hospital of Fort Wayne, Ind., after being
in failing health for the past few years.
She was born on March 3, 1961, in
Warsaw, Ind., to Terry L. and Anne
Nelson Utter.
She worked 29 years for Warsaw
Chemical Company as a purchasing agent.
She graduated in 1979 from Tippecanoe Valley High
School. She furthered her education by attaining an associate
degree from International Business College of Fort
Wayne. She enjoyed pottery and ceramics, as well as planting
flowers and golfing. She always loved spending time with
her great-niece and nephews.
Survivors include her mother, Anne Utter, of Winona
Lake; sister, Lynn (husband Glenn) Novitski, of Spencerville,
Ind.; nephews, Matthew, Eric and Alex; great-niece, Raelyn;
and great-nephew, Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her father, Terry Utter.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8,
at King Memorial Home, 101 North Tucker St., Mentone,
with Pastor Jason Rice officiating. Interment will take place
in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 7 at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
