Legacy, what are we talking about? When one mentions your name, what do people think? Perhaps something that describes your activities, your past. What you promoted doing your past years, right? That is your legacy.
If you are young, you have opportunity to choose what you wish as part of your legacy. If you are old, it is too late. Life for you is over. Our life is a one time deal. Each time a day has passed, it never returns. When life is past, we do not have another chance to live it.
A lady once said something like this to her husband, "Honey, never do today, what tomorrow, you wish you had not done today." Let's put that statement another way. "Honey, be sure to do today, what tomorrow, you will be happy, you did today."
Are you concerned about yourself? What your legacy will be, or are you just coasting along in life, meaning you put no effort forth (promoting something)? I think the Bible calls it "lukewarm." Rev. 3:16 reads, "So then, because you are lukewarm, neither hot or cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth."
So, I am calling to you (including Christians) to take a stand. I mean contribute something good during your life. Don't let your life (legacy) go by and be just lukewarm.
Remember all ground on earth is sinking sand. God only is eternal. Just think it doesn't cost money to buy. The Bible says, "Buy without money." Is. 55:1. Buy while you can. Tomorrow may be too late. Ephesians 5:15-16 reads, "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Your legacy then will be great.
