A Leesburg man is facing charges after police say he had sex with a minor. Nicholas Reed Colquitt, 18, of 105 EMS T26B Lane, Leesburg, is charged with one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, a level 5 felony. According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, on?Sept. 22 Colquitt took the girl in a car from school to get something to eat. As they drove by the restaurant, the girl, who was at least 14 but less than 16 years old, asked why they weren’t stopping at the restaurant. Colquitt told her that they would eat at his house. When they arrived at the house, Colquitt proceeded to have sex with her, charging documents state. The girl told police that she had never been in Colquitt’s house before and she was not in a romantic relationship with him. The girl said Colquitt’s condom broke, and she saw emergency contraceptive pills in the bedroom. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Detective Todd Sautter spoke with Colquitt on?Sept. 27. He allegedly advised that he did perform sexual acts with the girl, but didn’t know her age. He also advised the condom broke and he did not have intercourse with the girl. Sautter served a search warrant on?Sept. 27. Officers found a cushion on which the sex allegedly took place, an empty package for one-step emergency contraceptive tablets, one broken condom and three used unbroken condoms and nine empty condom wrappers. Colquitt was booked into the Kosciusko?County Jail Tuesday afternoon.?Bond was set at $10,000.
