Leesburg Talks Sand, Signs

Posted
LEESBURG – Leesburg Town Board held their regular monthly meeting Monday evening. All board members were present.
Brandon Queen, street commissioner, provided an update on the town’s sand supply for the roads. He is also compiling a list of street signs that need replaced. Queen stated that the new signs will meet the approved version set by the board.
In old business, three policies from other municipalities have been selected to set the foundation for the town’s sidewalk replacement policy. The town will have a closed meeting Monday to choose which policy would best fit the needs of Leesburg and draft their own policy.
In new business, the board decided to compile a list of all equipment and property owned by the town. A list is currently maintained for insurance purposes, but a new spreadsheet will be used to track when equipment will need replaced.
Leesburg will hold its next town meeting March 11.
