Posted

LEESBURG - Town Council will conduct a public hearing on the sewer project at 6 p.m. Feb. 19 in the Lions Building.

The facilities plan for the project is on display at the town hall, First National Bank and the Leesburg Mill. Residents are encouraged to review the plan, then attend the hearing to make their feelings on the project known.

In other business, Leesburg native Rick Stookey joined the council Monday. Stookey, who owns a commercial painting business, was appointed to replace Lois Jones on the council.

Jones resigned Jan. 13, citing personal reasons.

Also during the meeting, council approved plans to put up a street light at the corner of Ind. 15 and Plum Street.
