Leesburg OKs Leaf Collector Repair

Posted
LEESBURG – Leesburg Town Council met Monday night and approved a motion to make repairs to the town’s leaf collector.
According to Leesburg Street Commissioner Brandon Queen, the leaf collector has a bearing out and the repair will cost the town around $1,600. Once the machine is taken to Brown Equipment in Fort Wayne, the repair can be completed within a few days.
The board said that while the machine is being repaired, leaf pick-up will be slower than usual, though they still remind the public to put the leaves on the curb and remove sticks and debris.
Other reminders include no parking on any street between the hours of 3 and 5 a.m. and no burning. Leesburg Town Council will meet again Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
