NORTH WEBSTER -ÊA Leesburg man is in critical condition in Fort Wayne after a Tuesday night mo-ped accident near North Webster.
Christopher A. Pruitt, 37, of Leesburg, was riding a mo-ped on Ind. 13 near CR 400, when the mo-ped left the roadway, flipped over and landed in a ditch around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Pruitt suffered head injuries and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital before being airlifted by Samaritan Air Ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Police do not know why the mo-ped left the road, and the accident remains under investigation.
The North Webster Police Department, the North Webster Fire Department and the North Webster EMS assisted the Koscisuko County Sheriff's Department at the scene of the accident.
