LEESBURG – Leesburg resident Ryan Marshal Austin is facing intimidation charges resulting from two separate incidents. He was previously arrested in connection with an October incident during which he allegedly threatened to kill an employee of Lucky’s Tavern, North Webster, after she told him to leave the bar. Austin, 38, of 26 EMS B39W Lane, Leesburg, was allegedly arguing with a woman at the tavern on Oct. 19. Austin attempted to flip over a table and then threatened the woman he was with, according to the probable cause affidavit provided by Kosciusko County prosecutors. When an employee told Austin to leave, he stated that he would kill her and to “remember me ... I’ll be back to get you.” The employee called police and said she was concerned for her safety. A witness of the incident confirmed to police what Austin had said to the employee. Police located Austin at his Leesburg residence that night. He was arrested and booked into Kosciusko County Jail on a $10,500 bond. According to a probable cause affidavit, another intimidation charge occurred when a Warsaw Police Department officer responded to a domestic dispute complaint on Dec. 20. The officer arrived and observed an unattended red GMC Acadia parked with the window down and engine running. The officer approached the subject and identified him as Ryan Austin, who had an odor of alcoholic beverage and appeared intoxicated. The officer found there was an active warrant for Austin’s arrest for intimidation charges. Austin was arrested and taken to Kosciusko County Jail where he was very belligerent, according to the affidavit. Austin became so belligerent he was placed in a restraint chair where he told the officer “Hey cop, I’m not going to jail forever, you are dead,” and threatened to kill the officer.
