A Leesburg man was arrested Tuesday after threatening the life of the Canterbury Apartments manager in March.
Benjamin Ian Coble, 42, of 5204 N. CR 475E, Leesburg, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday for intimidation, a level 6 felony, and invasion of privacy with a prior. His preliminary bond was set at $16,750.
On March 6, Warsaw Police Department officer Brian Hupp met with a woman in regard to an intimidation complaint. She said Coble had issues with the Canterbury Apartments manager and he was not supposed to be on the Canterbury property. As a result, Coble allegedly feels like the manager is trying to keep him from seeing his son, who lives in the apartment complex.
Between 3 and 5 a.m. March 3, Coble allegedly left several messages on the Canterbury office phone answering service. The messages were recorded. Coble’s messages were directed toward the manager, telling him, “I know where you live, you don’t have long to live.”
