Nothing says welcome back to school like a bus full of teachers, popsicles and celebratory music. That's exactly what the Leesburg teachers did on Wednesday evening.
Around 25 teachers and Principal Nathan Polston traveled by bus into the community to welcome students back into the school year. They made a total of eight stops. At every stop they made, they were greeted by the smiling faces of students and parents ready to start the school year, according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
The popsicle treats were a big hit amongst those attending the stops.
Abby Parker, a parent of a Leesburg student, said, "The bus tour was a fantastic idea to get the kids excited for back to school. My kids counted down the hours all day for the bus to arrive. I love that Leesburg teachers go above and beyond to make their students excited about learning."
