Lee Edward Mosher, 88, of 320 W. Main St., Warsaw, died at 2:10 p.m. Jan. 30, 2009, in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake.

He was born July 23, 1920, in Columbia City, to Chester A. and Rosa Oberkiser Mosher. On June 29, 1947, in Warsaw, he married Anna Lou Heckaman, who survives.

He lived most of his life in Warsaw and 20 years on Big Chapman Lake. He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a former supervisor with Shaklee. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, and American Legion Post 49. He helped build the Chapman Lake Conservation Clubhouse and was one of the first presidents of the club. He was a World War II Marine Corp veteran, serving in the South Pacific for 33 months.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Don Locke officiating, and with military rites by members of Warsaw American Legion 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 1126.

No calling is planned.
