Staff Report-
The Frontline Tour is coming to Warsaw Friday at 7 p.m. in the Lakeview Middle School auditorium with a free feature film. Keith Sampson and his wife arranged for the Invisible Children team to be in the area Nov. 2-6. The film they will show Friday is “nothing short of real and impacting,” according to information provided by Sampson. “You will leave remembering the first time you saw one of their films.” Since 1986, the beginning of the war in northern Uganda, more than 100,000 innocent civilians have been killed, more than 30,000 children have been abducted and at the height of displacement, 1.8 million were displaced. Every week in the camps, 1,000 died, according to information provided by Sampson. In 2006, Joseph Kony and the Lord’s Resistance Army left Uganda to continue their terror across the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Central African Republic and southern Sudan. Since 2008, of what has been reported, more than 393,000 have been displaced and there have been 3,190 civilian deaths. Since January this year, more than 1,177 have been abducted, according to Sampson’s information. To watch the Warsaw promo video, visit www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_ZOYyHxg2w or search “Invisible Children Warsaw” on YouTube or Vimeo.
