Learn About 4 Aquatic Animals At Lilly Center Critter EncountersWINONA LAKE – Every Friday in July, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., the Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams is hosting Critter Encounters, themed learning experiences that will teach kids about four aquatic animals.

“Each event will feature different themed activities, so we encourage parents and grandparents to bring their kids and grandkids to multiple Critter Encounters,” said Sarah Baier, education program specialist at the Lilly Center.

On July 9, it will be fish; July 16, turtles; July 23, frogs; and July 30, crayfish, according to a news release from the Lilly Center.

Attendees will get to observe all four critters up close. They will also get to create themed craft projects, play an interactive “iSpy” game and get a behind-the-scenes tour of the aquarium lab.

“Long summer days can be hard to fill, especially if you have younger kids. Come learn about what lives in our lakes!” Baier said. “Your kids will love how interactive the activities are, and you’ll love that they’re learning, even during summer.”

More information is available on the Lilly Center’s website at lakes.grace.edu/events.

No RSVP is required.
