EMBARQ and the Times-Union have joined together for a fourth year to sponsor a special program that will recognize young leaders in the area and across Indiana.
Indiana Leaders of Tomorrow will honor youth in grades 9-12 for their leadership through community volunteerism, academic success and extracurricular activities.
Those nominated in the area will be featured in a special section of the Times-Union. Eleven finalists from around the state and the schools they attend will each receive a $500 cash award. The winner will receive a $2,500 cash award, and his or her high school will receive a $2,500 donation from EMBARQ.
"Many students throughout the state of Indiana have been recognized for their volunteerism through the Leaders of Tomorrow program," said Jack Moore, EMBARQ public affairs manager. "EMBARQ is pleased to partner once again with the Times-Union to honor area youth and their leadership roles."
Nomination forms are available via the Internet at www.leadersot.com or at the Times-Union office at the corner of Market and Indiana streets, Warsaw.
