The Bulldogs, who perform 1950s and 1960s rock ‘n’ roll, are returning to Warsaw in October. Due to severe medical problems, a change has been made for the Oct. 3 concert at Rodeheaver Auditorium in Winona Lake. Gospel harpist Greg Buchanan, the original artist for the evening, required brain surgery in July, therefore he is unable to make his scheduled fall concert tour. His tour included a concert for the Lakeland Community Concert Association. To replace Buchanan, LCCA has signed a contract to have the Bulldogs in concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 3. Since this is the same date and time that Buchanan was scheduled, there is no time or date change required. The Bulldogs, from the Fort Wayne area, used to be Spike and the Bulldogs, but Spike retired almost two years ago and the Bulldogs have continued to perform all over northern Indiana and surrounding areas. The Bulldogs play the vintage music of the 1950s and 1960s from such artists as Buddy Holly, The Beach Boys, Bill Haley and the Righteous Brothers. Anyone not holding a season ticket for this concert season will be able to purchase tickets at the door for $20 per person. Season tickets are still available for $45 for all five concerts.
