Lakeland Christian Academy’s drama department will present “O Men, Amen!” tonight, Friday and Saturday. This is a comedy by Donald Campbell. Years previously, Helen Lestrade, a bitter disappointed-in-love but rich woman has founded a sorority offering scholarships to co-eds who forgo all contact with men during their college years. So what happens when Tony Cartwright, the handsomest man on campus, falls in love with one of the girls? She resists, but in vain. In a series of wild and frantic scenes, he manages to enter the house, disguised as a plumber, an exchange student from the Middle East, and finally, as the founder of the sorority, Helen Lestrade – this last just as the real Helen Lestrade appears. But Tony’s Uncle Jonathan puts in a lucky surprise appearance, and fortunately, he’s none other than Helen’s old flame. Old love rescues young love, and a Zeta Zeta Phu will never be the same again. Performances all three days are at 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door; adults $6, students and senior citizens $4, and preschoolers are free. LCA is at 1093 S. CR 250E, Winona Lake.
