Lawton Carter Jr.FORT WAYNE – Lawton Carter Jr., 68, of Tippecanoe, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Alta Mae; children, Melinda (David) Beldon; and Brian (Jackie) Carter; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Lawton Carter III; and two grandsons: JC Allen Park and Timothy Kyle Ladig Carter. Viewing at the funeral home will be Sunday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. The funeral service is at noon, Monday, Feb. 10 at Midwest Funeral Home and Cremation Society, 1415 W. Coliseum Blvd., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior.
