Lawsuit Against RC's Pier Dismissed

A lawsuit filed against a Syracuse business has been dismissed after the State Fire Marshal's Office learned that it no longer exists at the location where the violations occurred.

Alden Taylor, public relations officer for the State Fire Marshal's Office, confirmed this morning that the case filed against RC's Pier and its owners, Richard and Cinda Eyer, last week in Kosciusko Circuit Court was dismissed.

The lawsuit stemmed from a 1998 citation by the State Fire Marshal's Office for the business location on Pickwick Road. RC's Pier now is located on Huntington Street in Syracuse, so the violations which led to filing of the lawsuit are moot.
