Lawrence “Larry” Lloyd, 74, Winona Lake, died at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne.
He was born April 29, 1946, in Ferndale, Mich., to Mildred Dufresne Lloyd and John Marion Lloyd. On Nov. 3, 1973, he married Kathryn “Kathy” Carpenter Lloyd. She survives.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1970. He traveled the world serving in the Philippines, Thailand and South Korea as a radar communications specialist in the Air Force.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His life will be celebrated with a service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28 at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, Winona Lake, and officiated by Pastor Kip Cone. A graveside service will be held at a later date with military rites at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Bruce Barlow.
