SEBRING, Fla. – Lawrence Edwin “Ed” Rife, 89, Sebring, and formerly of Okeechobee, Fla., went home to be with the Lord Nov. 26, 2014. He was born in Warsaw. He was married to his first wife, Pauline Weeks Rife, who died in March 2000. He then married Ruth Large, who died in February 2012. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a construction supervisor after 40 years. He was a former member of Grace Brethren Church, Okeechobee, and in 2000, he moved to Sebring and was a member of Southside Baptist Church and later Maranatha Baptist Church. Visitation was Nov. 28 at Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Okeechobee.
