Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department followed a young male in a car Friday night who was threatening suicide.
According to the Sheriff's Department, a deputy also was talking to the young man as they followed him along county roads near Ind. 13. No criminal action was involved, and the man was quietly apprehended and taken to Bowen Center. The Sheriff's Department would not comment further.
Officers followed the man in his vehicle with their lights and sirens off for most of the time. At one point, a line of emergency vehicles, including ambulances and police, were driving a distance behind the man. During the situation, which lasted more than half an hour, the unidentified man advised he saw three cop cars behind him and if they did not stop following him, he would pull over and "hurt himself." He allegedly had weapons in his possession.
