Larry Lee Hull, 65, of Warsaw, died at 11:15 a.m. March 31, 2009, in Leesburg, where he was found slumped over the wheel of his truck.
He was born Feb 25, 1944, in Garrett, to Keith A. and Dorma Jean Stump Hull. On June 30, 1963, in North Manchester, he married Barbara Jane Leedy, who survives.
He grew up in the Columbia City and North Manchester areas and was a 1962 North Manchester High School graduate. He lived in various Indiana cities including Roanoke, Waynedale, Ossian, Cedar Lake and Warsaw, and West Dundee, Ill. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet mechanic for four years. He formerly worked at Controls Company of America, North Manchester; United Airlines; Fort Wayne International Airport, as a customer service agent for 13 years; and Chicago O'Hare International Airport for 19 years, retiring April 11, 1999. He was a member of AARP; John C. Peterson American Legion Post 49, Warsaw; and Good Sam's Camping Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping.
Also surviving are a son, Ricky A. (and spouse Deborah J.) Hull, Valparaiso; a daughter, Diann L. Hull, Towanda, Pa.; six grandchildren; five brothers: Richard D. (and spouse Norma) Hull, Garrett; Harry A. (and spouse Sandy) Hull, New Buffalo, Mich.; Ronald D. (and spouse Mary) Hull, Columbia City; Max McKinley, Butler; and Paul Hull, West Cavena, Calif.; and two sisters, Nancy Hull and Peggy (and spouse Charles) Dorwick, Milan. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul E. Hargrove and McClellen Lockard.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Burial will be in Stough Cemetery, CR 50W, rural Columbia City, with graveside military honors by members of the John C. Peterson American Legion Post 49, Warsaw.
