Larry Lee Chapman Sr., 70, of Warsaw, died at 4:50 a.m. April 18, 2010, in Mason Health and Rehab, Warsaw.

He was born June 11, 1939, in Goshen, to Francis W. and Mary Marie Sappen Chapman. On July 2, 1988, he married Earline Brodock.

He lived most of his life in the Warsaw area and worked at Warsaw Foundries for many years. He was a faithful member of New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood, where he enjoyed being a greeter - even when he wasn't feeling well. He was actively involved in Bible studies and chapel at Mason's. He was a cowboy in Montana in his early life and was baptized in a creek while on a cattle drive. He enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Lee Chapman Jr., Illinois, and Ronnie Chapman, Oxford, Ala.; two stepsons, David and Steve Dittman, both of Warsaw; two stepdaughters, Norma Chapman, Illinois, and Neanta Hicks, Mentone; three half brothers, Stanley Chapman, California; Calvin Chapman, New York; and David Chapman, South Bend; a half sister, Kitten Chapman, Goshen; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher, chaplain at Mason Health and Rehab. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
