PLYMOUTH – Larry Keith Albert 77, LaPaz, passed away peacefully July 1, 2016, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born in LaPaz to Garland and Goldie Albert.
He lived the entirety of his life in LaPaz.
He was a hardworking man who enjoyed being outdoors. Early in his life he farmed his family farm, worked in the maintenance department at McCord Heat Transfer, later he worked many years as groundskeeper at Swan Lake Gold Academy. He was a member of the LaPaz FFA, LaPaz volunteer fire department, Marshall County Sheep Breeders Assoc., and a longtime leader for Marshall County 4-H. He took great joy in watching his nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren in their sports and events.
He was extremely loving and proud of his three children: Cary Albert and his husband, Scott Bogue, Shelly Norman (and spouse David) and Melissa (and spouse Keith) Colvin, all of LaPaz; his loving wife, Marilyn Veney Albert; one sister, Luella Staner; one brother, Louis (and spouse RuthAnn) Albert; and sister–in-law, Gloria Jean Albert; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Chester Albert.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth. with Pastor Vickie VanNevel, the Northwest United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Fair Cemetery.
Calling will be one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home and from 4 to 7 p.m.Wednesday at the funeral home.
