Larry G. Metzger, 84, of Pierceton, passed away at 3:19 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at his home.
He was born on March 23, 1937, in LaOtto, to Gale Everett and Kathryn J. Cole Metzger.
He graduated from Sidney High School and was a lifetime Sidney/Pierceton area resident. He was married on Dec. 20, 1970, in Illinois to Judy K. Phillips, who preceded him in on Aug. 7, 2019. He was a truck driver for most of his life and formerly worked at Warsaw Chemical in Warsaw, Metzger Trucking in Silver Lake and Dickerhoff Trucking in Mentone.
He is survived by three daughters: Billie (Doug) Hook, of Fort Wayne; Becky (Jeff) Sutton, of Larwill; and Bambi (Sean) Thomas, of Columbia City; son, Brian (Libby) Metzger, of Claypool; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Henderson, of Florida; brother, Val (Judy) Metzger, of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two grandchildren: Torie and Brody Metzger; and brother, Howard Metzger.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Private family burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Larwill.
