NAPPANEE - Lanny Royce Geyer, 60, of 2900 S. Carey St., Marion, and formerly of Nappanee, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 3:27 p.m. Dec. 1, 2009, in his residence.

He was born March 22, 1949, in Elkhart, to Royce and June Jackson Geyer.

Living most of his life in the Nappanee and Marion areas, he graduated from Nappanee High School and Porter Business College, Indianapolis. He formerly worked at Elkhart General Hospital and Coppes Kitchens, Nappanee. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea. He was a member of Nappanee Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are his mother, June Geyer, Nappanee; and four brothers: Joel (and spouse Benita) Geyer, Syracuse; Barry (and spouse Karen) Geyer and Tim Geyer, all of Nappanee; and Todd Geyer, Minneapolis, Minn.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Nappanee Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Byrl Shaver officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee, with military graveside services by the Nappanee American Legion.

Calling is from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
