PLYMOUTH – Lamora L. Filson, 90, Plymouth, passed away Sept. 23, 2016, in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 13, 1926, in Plymouth, to Emerson and Ada Senff Seymour. On Sept. 22, 1946, she became the bride of Clyde “Lowell” Filson, who preceded her in death.
She helped Lowell farm their land and she also was a valued clerk for Agway Seed Co. She enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful handmade gifts for family and friends. She was a member of Inwood United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis (and spouse Linda) Filson, Plymouth, and Stanley (and spouse Lynne) Filson, Plymouth; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lowell (and spouse Betty) Seymour, Plymouth; and a brother-in-law, Donald Graham, Oldsmar, Fla. She also was preceded by her parents and a sister, Phyllis.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, with Pastor Brad Thornton of Bremen Missionary Church officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Lowell, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bourbon.
