Experience the tornado of fire, balloon explosions, chemistry demonstrations, glow-in-the-dark “stuff” and more during the Lakeview Middle School 23rd Annual Science Show. Santa Claus also will make a visit at the 7 p.m. Thursday show. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for the Mike Bott Science Scholarship. The goal of the scholarship is to help continue Bott’s legacy for academic excellence in science. The event is in the auditorium at Lakeview Middle School, 848 E. Smith St., Warsaw. According to information provided, the science teachers at Lakeview have used demonstrations for the purpose of generating interest and enthusiasm. The annual science show has become the showcase for demonstrations that are too big, too loud or too expensive to perform in a traditional classroom setting.
