Lakeland Art Center Hosts Spring Exhibit

Posted

The Lakeland Art Center is packed from the entrance to the back door with one of the finest art shows to date.

While a number of the exhibiting artists make their living through their talents, there is no evident skill gap between them and the hobbyists in the 2001 Annual Spring Exhibit and Sale.

Judged by J.D. Woods of Winona Lake and Abner Hershberger of Goshen, the 145 pieces showcase the talents of area artists.

Robert Hudson of Winona Lake won best of show honors with an oil painting, "View From Running Bare Ranch." He was presented a check for $500 by Brad Bishop of Zimmer Inc. at the awards ceremony Sunday.

Sponsored by the Lakeland Art Association, the exhibit is open to the public in the center, 116 Buffalo St., Warsaw, through May 26. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
