The Lakeland Art Association Inc. is calling for entries for the annual art show.
This is a juried show which means qualified judges will screen art presented for entry. Those selected through this prescreening process will remain for the show and will compete for final judging and prizes. Cash awards are given for best of show, first, second and third places, plus there are several special merit awards and special category awards.
Entries will be accepted April 28 at Kosciusko County Lakeland Art Association Art Gallery, 120 First St., Pierceton. This is in the Art and Antique Corridor of Pierceton. There is no limit to the number of entries that artists may submit.
The 2007 art competition will open May 2 and run through June 1. An artists' reception will be held May 7 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Awards will be presented at 2 p.m.
All activities are open to the public and there is no charge for any of the events associated with the show.
